SnapName is provided by StillByte Labs and is designed so screenshot and watched-folder image content is analyzed locally on your Mac.

SnapName uses a bundled local AI runtime to suggest filenames. Screenshot images and watched-folder image imports are processed on your Mac and are not uploaded to SnapName servers for naming.

License and trial data

SnapName contacts a licensing service to manage free trial usage, subscription status, and signed license entitlements. This service may process device identifiers, license keys, subscription status, trial usage counts, timestamps, and related technical metadata.

Payments

Payments, invoices, applicable taxes, refunds, and subscription management are handled through secure billing services. SnapName does not store your full payment card details.

Website data

The SnapName website may receive standard web server and security logs through Cloudflare, including request timestamps, IP addresses, user agents, and requested URLs. SnapName also records basic download counts for the macOS installer, such as timestamp, country, referrer, and user agent.
